This study focuses on bibliometric analysis of the Informal Economy in the context of Bangladesh, examining 120 documents published in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals between 1983 and 2024. This study considers the most contributing scientific factors, such as authors, journals, topics, keywords, institutions, and countries, as parameters for analyzing articles. Using RS Studio and VOS Viewer software, the data was analyzed using different lenses. The result shows that researchers from the United States and the United Kingdom contributed to the global knowledge of the literature on the informal economy. The University of Dhaka is the most prolific institution, contributing eight articles. Development and Change is the most relevant journal, publishing three articles. Khandker S (2005) wrote the most globally cited document and published it in the World Economic Review. The thematic map shows that "Bangladesh," “informal sector," and “developing country” are positioned as motor themes.
